Sour Cherry & Rose Petal Granola

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Coconut Chips
1/2 cup almond meal
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup steal cut oats
2 heaped table spoons of cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped sour cherries
1 cup chopped dried figs
1 cup almonds lightly chopped
1/2 cup rose petals
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon of orange rind
squeeze the juice of the orange
 

DIRECTION  

Put all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Add the wet ingredients and massage thought, the dry ingredients with your hands.

Pour the mixture onto a lined backing tray, evenly distribute across the try.  Place in a pre heated oven @150c for 15-120 mins or till they it gets golden brown. You may need to toss the granola half way through. Allow to cool  before serving.

 

SARAHS TIPS & TRICKS

I add coconut yogurt to mine and fresh berries or local fruit.

I suggest you make my "Coconut Yogurt"  and serve as a complete dish.

This recipe is a great base you can take out the dried fruit and mix around it up with different nuts and fruit etc.
