CATHERINE HILL BAY WITH MY GIRL BAND

When there are no waves on offer in Sydney and the spring sun is beginning to warm up the water to the point where we are able to flirt with the idea of surfing in just a bikini again- what better place to head to than the sleepy town of Catherine Hill Bay with a few of your girlfriends, longboards and a land rover stocked up with some outdoor cooking essentials?

Only an hour and a half outside of the hustle and bustle of Sydney lies the beautiful blue waters of Catho.

Kitted out in our Bear Rentals defender, I grabbed a few girlfriends for an impromptu weekend away from the big smoke with nothing on the agenda other than so eat, surf and repeat.

Besides the beautiful village like scenery of Catho, it boasts home to some of the most epic locals. Shoutout to Linda and Dan for allowing us to crash your home and local break! One morning a local fisherman even traded us a fresh caught taylor in exchange for some hot coffee. I think we got the better end of the deal as the fish tacos were off the hook.

I love creating recipes along my travels whether I am taking inspiration from the areas around me or whipping up something for my friends based on what I have in my panty (or in this case, pantry on wheels!)

On the menu for the day?

An epic fruit and granola number to keep the girls form getting hangry in between surfs, potatoes and pancetta for lunch and hung pork with lemon leaves and blistered grapes for dinner!
