Vegetarian RECIPE

“Leftover” Pizza Sandwich

Every chef needs a good “leftover” pizza dough recipe in their toolbox, and Chef Ines Glaser from Lupa Cotta has kindly shared hers with us. Practice makes perfect, and once you begin the journey of pizza-making, it’s hard to not to become slightly obsessed. Before you know it, your world will change into a continuous pizza party.

Ingredients

1 ball pizza dough

Pizza toppings (I used ingredients
leftover from our lunch, but you can use
any pizza toppings, so get creative!)

Olive oil

Salt

Equipment:

Gozney pizza oven

- Makes one pizza sandwich -

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Heat your Gozney pizza oven until it reaches a temp of 800 F (425 C).

  2. Remove the dough ball from the fridge at least 3 hours before you want to make pizza.

  3. Open the dough ball, drizzle olive oil and salt inside, and then fold the pizza in half.

  4. Bake in your Gozney pizza oven until golden brown, about 60-90 seconds.

  5. Remove the folded pizza from the oven. Open up the pizza, and add cheese and sandwich fillings.

  6. Place back in the oven open-faced, and cook until the cheese melts.

  7. Remove from the oven, fold back over, and slice.

  8. Enjoy!
