HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Light your fire or gas and let it burn down until it’s at medium heat.

  2. Place the macaroni, water and 1 1/2 cups milk in the Dutch oven and stir to combine. Place on the fire and cook for 5 minutes or until the pasta just starts to soften but is still under. Remove from the fire.

  3. Add the butter, remaining milk, cheese, sriracha, and salt and stir well. (If you’re including the bacon, add half of it now too.) Scatter more cheese over the top (and the remaining bacon), then put the lid on and return to the fire. Cook for another 10 minutes, then take off the lid; if it looks cooked it is, so eat it!

  4. Recipe made in collaboration with Unyoked.
