Satellite Island Event
Join chef Sarah Glover for a special day of fire making, cooking and drinking in the beautiful Satellite Island surrounds. There will be a focus on wild foods found on the island. Using these unique ingredients you will learn the proper techniques of cooking with game meat, venison, abalone, sea urchin and wild oysters.

During this intimate day you will learn:
Fire building: Selecting wood, wood placement, fire structure and maintenance
Cooking with fire: Approach to both flame and coal cooking
Cooking over the fire you will create (and enjoy):
Starters: Selection of classic Argentinian Asado starters.
Sauces: Argentinian chimichurri & salsa
Meat: Venison cooked over the fire (all from the island)
Seafood: Abalone, sea urchin, wild oysters (all from the island)
Salads: Using local and native ingredients
Vegetables: Cooked over the fire
Dessert: Fire cake
This will be paired with:
Natural Wines: Local natural wines that compliment the food
All this will be enjoyed with Sarah in the beautiful intimate setting of the Satellite Island, Tasmania where you will have a chance to reflect on the days learnings, enjoy fire flavours of the cuisine and discuss cooking techniques with the chef in a causal relaxed setting.
